Products & materials

Do you still supply engineered (quartz) stone?

No. Engineered stone has been banned in Australia since 1 July 2024 because of the silicosis risk to fabricators. We now recommend natural marble, granite and quartzite, or compliant sintered and porcelain compact surfaces, which have a similar look and excellent performance.

What's the difference between 20mm and 40mm?

20mm is a single slab thickness with a slim, modern look. 40mm is usually created by mitring a folded strip onto the 20mm slab, giving a chunky, solid appearance without the weight of a full 40mm slab.

Which surface is best for a busy family kitchen?

Compact sintered surfaces and granite are the most forgiving: they're highly scratch, stain and heat resistant. Marble is stunning but softer, and it etches with acids like lemon juice. We'll walk you through the trade-offs.

Can I see my actual slab before it's cut?

Yes, and we encourage it. Natural stone varies, so we invite you to our Laverton North workshop to choose and approve your slab and the veining layout.

Ordering & installation

How long does it take?

Most projects are installed 7–10 working days after the on-site measure. The measure happens once your cabinets are installed. Your quote confirms the lead time for your chosen material.

Do you offer supply-only or DIY installation?

No. To guarantee fit, finish and warranty, all our benchtops are measured, fabricated and installed by our own team.

What do I need to have ready for the measure?

Cabinets fixed and level, with your sink, cooktop and tap on site or their specifications supplied. We'll confirm overhangs and join locations with you on the day.

Which areas do you service?

We install across greater Melbourne and surrounding regions from our Laverton North workshop. Get in touch for regional projects.

Care & warranty

How do I clean my benchtop?

Use warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner with a soft cloth. Avoid bleach, abrasive pads and acidic cleaners, especially on marble. You'll receive a care guide for your specific material.

Does natural stone need sealing?

Yes. We seal natural stone before handover. Depending on use, it should be resealed every 1–3 years. Compact surfaces don't need sealing.

What does the 10-Year Warranty cover?

It covers defects in our fabrication and installation workmanship, such as joins, edges, cut-outs and fixing. Material defects are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and we'll manage that claim for you. See our warranty terms.

Pricing & quotes

How much does a stone benchtop cost?

Price depends on the material, square metres, edge profile, number of cut-outs and installation complexity. Send your plans for a free, itemised quote, usually within 48 hours.

Do you offer trade pricing?

Yes. We offer trade and volume pricing for builders, cabinet-makers and developers. Contact us to set up an account.
